Let’s cheers
to something.

Our mission to provide an unconventional experience for conventional wine drinkers is now live. We take a simple approach to create something good, something worth drinking, and something perfect for sharing with your nearest and dearest.

SOMETHING RED

Cabernet Sauvignon

Our debut red. A 2020 cabernet from the Margaret River Wine region of W.A.

  • This red has rich and ascending aromas of red currant and raspberry, and gentle yet persistent tannins, which refers to a wine’s ‘pucker power’. Perfect for those looking to pucker up and explore a more complex, yet easy to drink red. Think romantic first dates, self care days, movie marathons and dancing to disco in your living room.

  • From the Island Brook vineyard in the Northern Region of Margaret River, these grapes were machine harvested then fermented with skin on for 20 days, so colour and tannins could present at full extraction, before being pressed to barrel for malolactic fermentation. As such, this red has lifted aromas of red current and a well integrated oak abound from the glass. With delicious raspberry notes and a gentle yet persistent tannin, it has a wonderfully balanced finish. Great for pairing with Osso Buco or other slow cooker masterpieces.

SOMETHING WHITE

Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc

A 2021 Semillion Sauvignon Blanc from the Margaret River Wine region of W.A.

  • The Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this wine were harvested early in the morning Margaret River to keep them fresh. After picking, the grapes were taken to the winery where they were pressed and fermented separately. A small part of the Semillon was fermented in a barrel to add more flavour. Once fermentation was complete, a little bit of sulphites was added to keep the wine fresh before the two wines were mixed together and bottled.

  • Aged uniquely in older French oak barrels, this wine has delicate aroma’s of lantana (floral) and honey dew melon (fruity) which means it refreshingly blooms in your mouth, without overwhelming the palette. It has tropical nuances and finishes with a cleansing citrus tang. Pairs pretty bloody good with seafood (and the like).

SOMETHING PINK

Shiraz Rosé:

Oh baby. Our 2024 Shiraz Rose from the Margaret River Wine region of W.A.

  • This punchy style shiraz rosé from Margaret River will surprise you with it’s sophisticated depth. Coral in colour, the palette is delicate and dry with notes of strawberry and florals, and masters a balance of being full body yet crisp to finish. A good drop for white meat and grazing boards. Truthfully, it holds its own with most things.

  • A wet spring followed by a dry summer made for a reaaaal long ripening that produced a punchy flavour across all varietals.

In the first instance this shiraz rose is lifted with notes of strawberry, fairy floss and floral aromas. Ask it to stay a while on your palette, and you will pick up a green earthiness that compliments a crisp finish.

There’s a new way to drink wine. A way that is welcoming and energetic and young and unashamedly chaotic. It’s cautious, but it’s the anti-thesis to what you think you know about the culture of wine. It doesn’t try hard, but it tries. It doesn’t confuse you, but it’s complex. Just enough to challenge what you think you know about wine. It’s a wine for picnics, dancefloors, first dates, and doing some of your best work on your bedroom floor. It’s easy drinking, sharing, raving, and relaxing. This wine doesn’t judge. This wine is a community of movers and shakers and opinion leaders that don’t have to be the loudest in the room. This is a wine, for you.

OUR

MANIFESTO

OUR STORY

When three 20-something year olds got together and started talking about where they could move and shake in the beverage industry, they began to realise that there was one alcohol they knew nothing about; wine. And then when they talked some more, they realised that they certainly weren't alone in their experience. After a couple of bottles of red, some consultation with peers, local wine makers, friends and family, Something was born. An evergreen yet hearty wine brand that seeks to honour those as equally as evergreen and hearty at the start of their wine drinking journey, just like us.

Something Wines is a contemporary wine label that honours the history and heritage of the winemaking industry, and presents it in a way that is easy to understand, educational, non-elitist and most of all, relatable for a younger, more dynamic audience.
